Well, today is the due day!! And....nothing. Haha that is about where it ends. As of 9:30 AM(right now), little Layla has not yet graced us with even the IDEA of her coming soon. I have officially been pregnant now for 40 weeks and well.....it is FINALLY starting to get uncomfortable. She is sitting low now and I feel like she MUST weigh nearly ten pounds!! However, from the midwife calculations she is somewhere closer to 8 lbs. as of last Thursday.
Last Thursday was my last appointment and everything looked great she said, but....I was only 1 cm dialated and only 20% effaced which means it could be another week from then! We have another appointment today at 3:30 PM and hopefully, just hopefully I have SOME change that looks promising! The longest over my due date they will allow me to go is 10 days so at the LONGEST we will have a baby in ten days!! YAY!!
I cannot wait to have Layla out to start feeling comfortable again and so I can start doing things I used to! THAT is the motivating force now! Kristin and Brian came up for the weekend and what a GREAT time we had and they walked me nearly to death trying to get Layla to enter the world. But, no avail.... sorry guys! We had SO much fun though, staying up late and playing Spades and Hearts for HOURS! We sure do miss you guys up here and wished we lived closer!!! Thank you for coming to visit!!!!
So.....since Matthew has been home now for 18 days, he had to return to work since Layla decided her due date wasn't the one she wanted. This is pretty unfortunate considering we live about 15 minutes on the other side of base from where he works and my car is at the shop right now! Which means, if I go into labor fast or my water breaks and whatnot there is a good chance I will have to wait an hour for Matthew to get home and then take another 45 minutes to get to the hospital. And THAT is in the case of an emergency! Oh well, life goes on and Layla has already started dictating our schedules! haha....they sure start early!
Anyway, that is the only update, may have another one after the appointment this afternoon! Can't wait to surprise everyone with the good news when we get some!!!

there's a resturant in Marietta, can't remember if its anything you eat or a particular meal, but if you have the baby within 24 hrs, you get a free meal. Scallinis has the BEST GARLIC rolls too !!!!!
